Beth gives birth to baby Alfie

Dominic has taken a breather as partner Beth's labour isn't progressing. Unfortunately, things suddenly start to happen and he misses the birth of his son Alfie, 8lbs 10oz. Dominic is understandably devastated not to have been there at the right time but immediately starts to bond with Alfie.

Baby Kaiden has been born with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) affecting the right hand side of his body which is more serious than left-sided CDH. Parents Hayley and Pete visit their son in the neo-natal unit. Kaiden means fighter and they are praying that he manages to pull through the early stages and be stable enough to undergo an operation. Ellen gives birth to baby Harrison-Lee

Ellen's labour progresses quickly and she gives birth in the pool to baby Harrison-Lee, 5lbs 9oz. Cousin Lisa and grandma, Chris, are in attendance as birth partners.

Hayley and Pete explain their rollercoaster ride since their baby was diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia whereby baby has an abnormal opening in the diaphragm, which can allow parts of the stomach, spleen, liver and intestines to go up into the chest cavity, restricting the development of the lungs.
